Karst data base

The karst data base (KDB) project started in 2015 with the AWSEK project (Achieving Water Security in Europe's Karst Regions) and is still ongoing. The KDB stores the locations of karst springs and meteorological stations worldwide as well as observed time series (e.g. spring discharge, precipitation, hydrochemistry). It will be used by the GloW group and generally serves as a base for future projections of water availability and quality to facilitate sustainable management of karst water resources.

Project term: Feb 2015 - Jan 2017

Funding volume: € 64,000.-
